CUSTOM JEWELRY & REPAIR
Do you do custom design work?

Yes, bring your ideas to us and we will work with you to design a piece of jewelry to your specifications. We can also help you with remounting your diamond or putting your gemstone into a new setting. We have an extensive design department with CAD abilities. 

Does my jewelry leave the store for repair?

We have three jewelers on the premises, so your jewelry is safe and secure in the store while we work on the repair. This also insures the quickest turn around time for your repair, since it never leaves the store.

How long does a jewelry repair typically take?

For a typical repair the turn around time is generally a week. This includes ring sizing, chain repair, prong work, pearl stringing and other jewelry repairs. We will quote you an estimate for the repair and the approximate time it will take to be done. Estimates given for repairs are not always final prices. There is a rush service available with 24-48 hour turnaround. See store for details.

Do you restring pearls?

Yes, we do restring pearls. Pearl strands will stretch out after years of wear. It is recommended to have them restrung when there are gaps in between the knot and the pearl. We restring pearl strands on silk thread for durability. We can also restring beads on wire or monofilament.

Do you do watch repair?

Yes, we do watch repair on any make of watch. If your watch is no longer running, we will first check and replace the battery while you wait. If it is not the battery, we will do an overhaul on the watch, which typically takes about 2 weeks. We also replace crystals, watch bands, stems and crowns.

What are your store hours?

We are open Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm. Thursdays we are open till 6:30pm and Saturdays till 5:00pm. During the Christmas season we are open Sundays 11:00am to 4:00pm. Please call for extended Holiday Hours.

What is your return policy?

Items purchased from Keegan’s Jewelers may be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase. Any refunds on cash, check or debit purchases will be given in the form of a check. Refunds on checks will be given after 10 business days. Credit card purchases will be refunded to the credit card less 3% or a merchandise credit will be given in the amount of the total purchase price. On the date of purchase a credit card sale is finalized at the end of the day and is subject to the 3% processing fee at the time.

Merchandise must be in original and unworn condition and accompanied by the original gift box & sleeve with all warranty cards and explanation booklets intact. There will be a charge for any unreturned gift boxes, sleeves, etc. Closeouts, estate pieces, special orders, altered pieces (including ring sizing) and custom pieces are not returnable or exchangeable. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.Returned checks will be assessed at $25.00 fee.

Do you have layaway?

Yes we do have layaway. We ask for a deposit at the time you put a piece of jewelry on layaway and to make monthly payments at your convenience.

Do you buy jewelry?

Yes we do buy your unwanted gold and diamond jewelry. The gold is weighed and a price is determined for the scrap gold. Diamonds are looked at by the jeweler and a price is given after examination of the piece. You need to be 18 years or older and have a valid drivers license to sell your jewelry.We also buy high end vinatage watches. 

Do you do jewelry appraisals?

Yes we do written appraisals on your jewelry for insurance purposes. A single piece of jewelry can sometimes be appraised while you wait depending on how busy the jeweler is at that time. The cost for a written appraisal is $90 for the first piece and $75 for the second piece of jewelry plus $35-$50 for each additional piece. The jeweler can also give you a verbal estimate of the value of your jewelry for no charge. There is a rush service available with 24-48 hour turnaround. See store for details.
